R.A 9256: “AN ACT DECLARING AUGUST 21 OF EVERY YEAR AS NINOY AQUINO DAY, A SPECIAL NONWORKING HOLIDAY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES”

In order to commemorate the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino, Jr., August twenty-one of every year is hereby declared as the Ninoy Aquino day which shall be a national nonworking holiday.

“The Filipino is worth dying for.” The famous words mentioned by the late Sen. Ninoy Aquino during his speech back in 1980.

The Local Government Unit of Balungao, Pangasinan under the leadership of Mayor Riza Rodriguez Peralta is in one with nation in commemorating the life of Sen. Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino, Jr.
