“Maintaining this award will take a lot of blood, sweat, and tears …” said, Mayor Riza Rodriguez-Peralta as she presents the “Drug-Cleared Municipality” Award received by the municipality.
The ceremonial declaration/awarding of certificate and resolution for drug-cleared municipality was graced by Governor’s Link Norman Ramos who represented Gov. Ramon Guico, attested that only the Municipality of Balungao attainted the Drug-Cleared award.
The PCol Jeff Fanged, Provincial Director PPO of Pangasinan had gone through a memory lane as he recalls his experiences as first chief of police in the municipality, and said that the award received by the municipality is a symbol of hardship, dedication, quality public service being delivered to the constituents, adding on his words that the award is also a new challenge to the local government of Balungao.
PNP-OIC PMaj Jimmy Paningbatan also delivered a message and ended it by saying “Ang bayang walang droga, ay bayang masigla at payapa.”
The ceremony was attended by Sangguniang Bayan Members headed by Vice Mayor Philipp Peralta, MLGOO Analyn Cuyop, PDEA Region 1 Officers, PNP Personnel of Balungao, LGU Department Heads, and all Barangay Captains.
